We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We also pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
AH&MRC’s work is to enable Our People to Live Stronger and Longer.
Who we are:
The Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC) is the peak body and voice for 51 ACCHOs (Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations) across NSW and works to ensure ACCHOs have access to an adequately resourced and skilled workforce to provide high-quality health care services for Aboriginal communities.
Discover the large array of complimentary resources we offer, ranging from posters and wellness cards to annual reports and strategic plans.
Our organisation is an official Registered Training Organisation (RTO), allowing us to deliver high-quality, customised training programs that are not only tailored to the unique needs of our sector but can also be nationally accredited.
At AH&MRC, we understand the importance of providing education and training initiatives that are specifically designed for Aboriginal healthcare. Our comprehensive Education and Training section offers a wide range of courses and programs, all developed with a deep understanding of the sector’s requirements.
As the peak body for the ACCHO sector, we are in a unique position to be able to identify gaps in funding and have identified 3 key areas of need – Disaster Response, Elective Surgery and Scholarship
In line with our dedication to supporting ACCHOs and the Aboriginal Health sector, we host a range of events that are open to either our members or the general public. Take a look at all the offerings below:
