The Bulgarr Ngaru Medical Aboriginal Corporation was established in 1991 to provide health services to the Aboriginal communities of the Clarence Valley, New South Wales. Bulgarr Ngaru now operates as a large regional health care service with our footprint including the traditional clans of the Yaegl and Gumbaynggirr Nations and a large proportion of the Bundjalung footprint (excluding Lismore, Ballina, & Byron).
We now provide services out of three clinical hubs in the Clarence Valley (Grafton), Richmond Valley (Casino) and Tweed Heads South with our corporate centre for clinical and administrative services based in South Grafton.
The Clarence Valley Clinic provides services to the Aboriginal communities of Grafton, Baryulgil, Malabugilmah, Yamba and Maclean.
Our Richmond Valley Clinic provides services to the Aboriginal communities of Casino, Box Ridge, Muli Muli, Tabulam and Kyogle.
Bugalwena General Practice provides services to the Aboriginal community of Tweed Heads South, Chinderah, Fingal Heads and Banora.
The services are predominantly funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and New South Wales Ministry of Health.
