This year we want ALL our community 6 months of age and older to get a flu vaccine and help keep our families healthy and strong this winter.
- Protect the community from respiratory infections this winter: Apply for an AH&MRC winter Immunisation grant and/ or contact publichealth@ahmrc.org.au if you have questions.
- Allow your community members to book a flu vaccine at your ACCHO online: via the Healthdirect flu vaccine provider list – do this by:
- Listing your ACCHO on the National Health Services Directory and once registered,
- Go to service update page to ensure that your ACCHO has ticked ‘service type’ – ‘influenza (flu) vaccine’ and/or ‘immunisation’
- Get ready with the AH&MRC Seasonal Influenza Preparedness Toolkit which has checklists and links to resources.
- Follow the AH&MRC Respiratory Infection and Control Manual to prevent spread of influenza and other respiratory viruses in your ACCHO and the community.
- Use resources from the Influenza Vaccination Website kept up to date by the Australian Government Department of Health
