Medical Reception/Administration Officer


  • $26.40 ph
  • Excellent salary packaging benefits + 11.5% superannuation
  • This is an Identified Aboriginal position. Only applicants with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island heritage will be considered.

Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) is the leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people and communities across North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina.

We  seek someone who will play a crucial role in offering professional and informative reception and administration services to loyal clients, the community, clinicians, and the amazing AWAHS crew at both our Albury and Wodonga Medical Centres.

The AWAHS clinics are bustling and lively places, and we need someone vibrant to be a part of this energetic team!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in reception/administration work, to provide high quality and culturally competent reception and administrative services to patients, doctors and peers.
  • Knowledge of appointment bookings and scheduling
  • Strong skills and knowledge when working with Microsoft Office and computers
  • Understanding and respect for Aboriginal health, culture, and history
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Skills in managing and actioning documentation confidentially, and within required timeframes
  • A commitment to the community and having our clients’ best interests at heart
  • Time management, knowing how to prioritise your work and lending a hand to others in your team
  • Current Drivers License
