This is an Identified Position.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Comprehensive Care Practice Manager to be the driving force for the development, management and delivery of Aboriginal Health Sector quality improvement initiatives through the establishment of multiple projects to enable optimal business benefit for comprehensive primary health care, social wellbeing and drug and alcohol services by AH&MRC Members Services to Aboriginal people.

Responsibilities include:

Board Relations and Organisational Performance

  • Accept responsibility and be accountable for the Comprehensive Care Practice Unit quality of products and services across internal business units, member services and other key stakeholders
  • Collaboratively work across multiple government agencies in defining, prioritising and coordination planning for improved Aboriginal Health outcomes
  • Initiate, monitor and influence the preparation of appropriate plans in the delivery of program and services
  • Ensure compliance by the organisation to legislation, government requirements and Board policy
  • Under direction from the CEO provide Board of Directors with relevant information and service delivery advice as appropriate

Strategic Business Development

  • Undertake direction from the CEO and with input for the Board and Staff
  • Assist with the development of business plans to achieve organisational objective and targets
  • Identify service development opportunity and sources of funds
  • Assist and support the preparation of submissions to obtain additional funding

Practice Improvement

  • Define and document Member Service practice and business process and help them to manage their continual improvement process to strengthen practice and business models in the Aboriginal Community Control Health Sector
  • Facilitate workshops to gain buy-in across the Healthcare Sector to gain greater improvement outcomes for Aboriginal people
  • Deliver practice improvement projects to agreed quality and time, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and involved at all relevant stages
  • Realistically define specific project charters and resolve problems to assist staff in meeting the needs of Member Services and other key stakeholders
  • Regularly monitors the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits
